Did nothing today but look round B&Q, Focus and Homebase for more ideas. Decided to build the garage doors myself and went to Build Centre at Stoke to price the timber but it was closed for stocktaking.
Sold a few items on Ebay - Kitchen Trolley, Four Drawer Side unit and TV. Big unit in the study and the sideboard didn’t sell so have ben re-listed.

Totally knackered after yesterday so didn’t do much apart from tidying up and a bit of wood filling and mastic around the windows. Rained most of the afternoon.
Cut the cross beams for the kitchen ceiling and cleared the garage in order to get to the back doors.
Ordered a few more things from Tool Station and a Karcher pressure washer from Amazon.

Finished shiplap cladding at the back of the house and primed. Replaced the windowsill (needed some routing, good job I’ve got the tools) - need to do the back doors otherwise it’s ready for painting.

Ladder has arrived plus various bits and pieces from Tool Station and this evening we went to B&Q at Meir to buy paint and timber for the back and the cladding for the kitchen and garage ceilings.
All the back of the house cleaned today and the windows puttied. Removed the rotten windowsill. Much of the back below the windows needs replacing but have decided to use shiplap cladding instead.

Now that I’ve finally finished work it’s time to start getting the house ready for sale. There’s going to be so much to do that I’m going to forget eventually just what has been done so I’m going to use this blog now to record progress. Probably going to be a bit boring for anyone reading it but it will be a good record to look back on when it’s all finished.
Rather strangely we will probably be finishing off many of the projects we started 25 years ago and never finished! Then we’ll sell the house!
